Cleric: Massive 22 Bahman Turnout Frustrates Enemies of Islam

A senior cleric says the massive nationwide participation in rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution has once again dashed the hopes of the enemies of Islam and the Iranian nation.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Mehdi Sibouyeh, head of the Society of Velayi Preachers, said the vigilant and patient Iranian nation demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution by turning out in large numbers on 22 Bahman.

“The insightful nation of Iran, with a deep understanding of the nature of hybrid, cognitive, and media warfare waged by global arrogance, stood united in a sacred front against the enemies,” Sibouyeh told Hawzah News Agency in Tehran.

He described independence and national dignity as among the most significant achievements of the 1979 Revolution, arguing that prior to its victory, foreign powers exerted extensive influence over Iran’s political decision-making.

“In various historical periods before the Revolution, foreigners interfered in major and minor domestic affairs,” he said. “The Islamic Revolution put an end to that bitter and dark chapter.”

According to the cleric, one of the Revolution’s central accomplishments has been restoring sovereign decision-making to the Iranian people and their officials.

“Today, macro, mid-level, and even minor decisions in the country are not tied to the will of outsiders. This is fully in harmony with the Iranian spirit and our centuries-old civilization, which has always been grounded in national dignity,” he added.

Sibouyeh said that whenever foreign influence had taken root in Iran’s history, it damaged national morale and produced unfavorable conditions—an experience that, he argued, reinforced the determination of Iranians to safeguard independence.

Referring to this year’s anniversary rallies, he described the turnout as “aware, powerful, dignity-creating and enemy-breaking,” saying it reflected the people’s deep and unshakable loyalty to the Revolution’s lofty objectives.

He added that the Iranian nation, having directly experienced a recent 12-day imposed war as well as sustained psychological and media pressure, recognizes the importance of social cohesion and unity under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

“The people emphasize preserving sacred unity, strengthening social capital, and avoiding division,” he said. “Once again, they disappointed the enemies of Islam.”

Sibouyeh further praised the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying he has raised “the banner of honor, dignity, and authority” for Iran on the global stage.

“We take pride in belonging to what is the most anti-arrogance revolution in the world,” he said, adding that with the unparalleled support of the Iranian people, the Islamic Republic stands today “more successful and more powerful than ever before.”

Nationwide rallies marking the Revolution’s anniversary are held annually across Iran, with officials and participants portraying the gatherings as a manifestation of popular support for the country’s political system and resistance posture.
